Scary! Many die in Kano state of a strange illness
There are reports of about a 100 and more deaths in Kano state following a strange illness amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed an investigation into a “strange illness” which is responsible for the sudden death of people in the state.
The tension in Kano hit a scary landmark as over 100 people were said to have been buried within four days which is contrary to the number of death interred at various Kano cemeteries. At least, 40 people were reportedly buried at Dandolo cemetery in Dala local government since the state government declared lockdown.
Similarly, against the normal daily interment, 10 people were buried at Kofar Mozuga cemetery, while at Kara cemetery near the abattoir, 42 people were reportedly buried.
Sheriff Hadi Kabir, chairman of Fagge cemetery committee, said at Zangon Barebari in Kano Municipal, over 13 people died within 24 hours from severe fever, suspected to be acute malaria, typhoid and other ailments.
