Moussa Dembele, a French footballer who plays as a striker for Lyon might earn himself a big move, knowing that Barcelona could launch a £60million move for the striker.
According to reports , Celtic could land themselves a financial boost if Lyon striker Moussa Dembele earns himself a big move this summer. It’s claimed that the Bhoys inserted a sell-on clause when they sold Dembele in 2018. Celtic allowed Dembele to leave for Lyon in a £20million move after a superb spell in Glasgow
The Frenchman hit 51 goals in 94 games for Celtic, and has continued to thrive. With Lyon, the 23-year-old has scored 42 goals in 88 appearances.
Dembele is unsurprisingly a wanted man. It’s noted that Barcelona could launch a £60million move for the striker, whilst Chelsea and Manchester United are keen too.
The report even notes that Arsenal and Newcastle are interested, with the latter eyeing Dembele if their much-publicised takeover finally goes through.
It’s stated that Celtic could earn around £4million, but that doesn’t seem quite enough. If Dembele goes for £60million, that windfall would be less than 10%.
Celtic surely put a bigger sell-on clause into the deal than that, but the Bhoys may be praying that Newcastle get their riches and go ahead with a big-money move in order to bring more cash into Parkhead.
